During the covid-19 pandemic, we innovated a foot-operated tap to minimise the spread of surface germs in our own workshop. considering the state of the world at the time, we proceeded to identify the need for hygienic solutions in essential industries where sharing facilities could not be avoided.
our hands-free solution which we named footflow, not only enhanced hygiene but also revealed am astonishing 75% reduction in water waste per 20-second handwash as recommended by the world Health Organisation.
In recognising the potential, we began highlighting our Footflow as a vital water saving tool. in south africa, where water scarcity is a pressing issue, our design offers an effective way to conserve this precious resource. by reducing water waste. we contribute to the protection of our natural resources and support sustainable living. our foot-operated tap is more than just a hygiene measure; it’s a Commitment to environmental stewardship and a step towards a greener future.
